Applications: PowerTrac® gloves provide a positive grip in sheet metal stamping and press operations where hydrocarbon-based lubricants are being used. Applications include light metal stamping, assembly of metal panels such as filing cabinets, metal office furniture, elevators or large air conditioners and appliances. The special palm coating absorbs lubricants for an increased grip without allowing liquids to penetrate to the hands. Gloves that grip well keep edges from moving reducing the possibility of a hand laceration. Having a better grip also reduces the hand power required to hold a slippery part thus reducing hand fatigue.
Information: PowerTrac® gloves are made with Dynamax® HD, a lightweight continuous filament yarn that works on a principle of ultra high tensile strength to prevent a metal edge from tearing into the fabric of the glove. Due to our patented yarn construction, these gloves are extremely light weight and provide dexterity and tactile feel. PowerTrac® gloves are 100% latex free and treated with Sanifresh® to keep bacteria from growing both during and after glove use. The new Taperfit® knitwrist cuffs are extended length to protect the wrist area without causing tightness or discomfort. PowerTrac® gloves can be cleaned with the Bantex® reconditioning process that returns gloves bacteria free and cosmetically acceptable to wear. The initial unit cost is reduced with each cycle of reuse.
Cautions: Due to their tacky grip, PowerTrac® gloves are not recommended for use when turning nuts, bolts, or screws with a power tool as this can result in a "wrap-up". Nitrile coatings can become slippery in water-based solutions. These gloves are made with a synthetic yarn, so they should not be used near heat or open flame. PowerTrac® gloves should be edge-tested and grip-tested prior to approval for use.
