Applications: |
SteelGard® liners provide the highest level of cut protection from knife blades that we can offer.
These liners are knit with two yarns instead of one. This double strand construction provides a fail-safe: if one strand breaks, the second acts as a backup. There are two strands of spiral wrapped stainless steel in each core yarn for a total of four in each glove.
SteelGard® gloves are designed for use in food processing operations where sharp blades are present, or in general industry where hands come in contact with sharp edges.
|
Information: |
SteelGard® gloves are 100% latex free. Taperfit® cuffs are extended length to protect the wrist area. These gloves contain AlphaSan® which prevents bacteria from growing both during and after glove use. SteelGard® gloves are made entirely of FDA accepted materials required by USDA for food use. |
Cautions: |
SteelGard® gloves contain stainless steel, which can make the user potentially conductive in an electrical hazard situation. SteelGard® gloves should not be used in sheet glass applications since glass can cut stainless steel. These gloves are made with s synthetic yarn, so they should not be used near heat or open flame. SteelGard® gloves are designed to be worn underneath a cover glove. They should be edge-tested prior to approval for use. |
